World War I.

                                                               Troops doing the war

World War I had four causes which lead too WWI. The first cause of World War I is Mutual Defense Alliances, countries throughout Europe made mutual defense agreements which if there allied country was being attacked they where there to defend them which drag them into the war. The second cause is Imperialism, Imperialism is when a country takes over smaller weaker countries too increase there wealth and power. Because of Imperialism it cause competition between countries which pushed the world into World War I. The third cause was Militarism, Around 1914, Germany had the biggest increase in a military build up this cause other countries too build up there military arms and it had a greater influence on public policy, which cause a huge push into WWI. The last cause of World War I is Nationalism which was basically countries who had so much pride in them self that it was what directly to the war. All the countries tried proving there dominance and power which led to WWI.

The two causes that drag United States in the War was the sinking of the Lusitania and The telegraph that was intercept by United States. The Lusitania had over 100 Americans on board when it was sunk because it was heading towards Europe and Germany shot at when they said if any ship traveling towards Europe would be sunk. The Telegraph that was intercept was for Mexican saying that if they join the side against the U.S , They would give back the land they took when they win. Those two causes is what drag the United States in the war.

The end of World War I there were a peace treaty where Germany was basically forced to sign. There where fourteen points of plan that Woodrow Wilson believed would keep a stable relationship with Europe. In my opinion I think the peace treaty was a good idea to become sorta allies with the European nations, it would also bring lots of trades and other benefits from them being "allies".

Laws That Changed America.

  • Homestead Act.
  • The Chinese Excluicon Act.
Homestead act

The Homestead Act forced Native Americans too leave there home and settle some place else. The main intent of this law was too have more land and to have more settlements for the rich people and to have the indians or native americans to move out of there own land something like the manifest destiny. This law went for a long time and because of the the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 repealed the Homestead Act in the 48 contiguous states, but it did grant a ten-year extension on claims in Alaska.

The Chinese Exclusion Act, was approved on May 6, 1882 It was the first significant law restricting immigration into the United States. It was passed by President Chester A. Arthur. This act provided an absolute 10-year moratorium on Chinese labor immigration. In 1892 the excluison was expried.extended it for 10 years in the form of the Geary Act. This extension, made permanent in 1902, added restrictions by requiring each Chinese resident to register and obtain a certificate of residence. Without a certificate, she or he faced deportation.

These two laws are very similar because they both had something to do with a certin race being forced out of there home land or not even having equal rights as everyone else. Now because of these acts, they have been restriced so now Asian's and Native Americans can live freely where ever they please.
